  Finally, the webinar will look at how a ‘joined up’ approach through training, professional site support and certification can be provided by BSI throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

BRCGS Storage and Distribution Standard

Storage and Distribution ties into the well-known BRCGS Food Safety Standard and ensures that the logistics aspect of the supply chain meets the same stringent standards as the safe production of food.

Sometimes overlooked, a high-quality storage and distribution process is required to ensure food produced reaches the end user meeting quality attributes and safely.

The standard covers all aspects of the logistics process from hazard, risk and quality management through site, vehicle and facilities management to good operating practices and activities.  

As the standard transitions from Issue 3 to Issue 4 in early 2021, this webinar provides ideal support for both veterans of the existing issue as well as those considering certification in the near future.

FSSC 22000 certification under category G (Transport and Storage)

Within the food supply chain, the transport and storage of food, feed and their associated packaging materials is a critical element to ensure that products arrive safely and in good condition at their destination. It is the responsibility of organizations involved in the transportation and storage of food to protect the foods, ingredients, and raw or packaging materials from hazards, contamination, and adulteration during transport and storage, including possible (re)packing activities.

FSSC 22000 certification, under category G (Transport and Storage), applies to third-party logistic service providers who physically store and/or transport food, feed or food/feed packaging materials. The issued certificate confirms that the organization’s food safety management system is in conformance with the Scheme requirements and that the organization can maintain compliance with these requirements.

As the technical specification of the scheme transitions from NEN/NTA 8069:2016 to ISO/ TS 22002-5:2019 in early 2021, this webinar provides ideal support for both organizations already certified as well as those considering certification in the near future.
